I’ve been pretty caught up with a lot of things to do so there wasn’t any update on the blog. Not only on my blog, haven’t really watched any of the variety shows.. sigh… so much catching up to do..
But I cannot not post this! Because I really really really miss Clazziquai! And recently they had a performance on Sketchbook singing She Is. (watch the video before it gets deleted!!!)
Ok.. so what happened to Alex‘s hair??? Well he looks younger with that do though.. so we’ll forgive him! But Horan looks stunning in this video!
I was very happy when I read that they were performing on Sketchbook. Before my idol fanaticism, there was Clazziquai.. and there will always be Clazziquai! They are actually the first Korean group that I really, truly like!I absolutely love their music… Thank God for the drama Kim Sam Soon for introducing them to me. Since then I haven’t stopped admiring their music. Their music is different and their beats are just right for me.
But they haven’t had a new album out though (even though Horan and Alex has had some solo projects). I think their last one was in 2009 if I am not mistaken. Can they like come back now with a new album?
Wish they would release something new soon (DJ Clazzi please… ^_^).
But wanted to share the song because it’s a different Infinite… it’s them just singing, no dance this time… This is their live performance of the song Can U Smile.
I think their making a statement that they are not just a dance group. They prove that they can carry a ballad/acoustic song. I was actually a little shocked when I saw the performance because I know the original of this song has a dance tune. It sounds nice though.
But poor L (am I right??), he’s just carrying the guitar.. so he can’t stand up and do the choreography part… it looks kinda awkward for him to sit alone. Umm I think whoever made the choreography for this performance ought to not leave him alone with his guitar…
OMG I can’t believe it! This is post 501… I’ve written and posted lots of entries to this blog after 2 years and a half. I know I don’t have too much time to post as much as I did in the first year I started this blog, but I still am hesitant to end and not post anything. I guess it has become a part of me.. But Kamsahamnida, Xie xie, Arigatou, Salamat, Thank you for to all who visited the blog! ^_^
For post 501, I thing its but fitting to make a post which has some connection to how I became addicted to Asian music… because of Dong Bang Shin Ki’s Xiah Junsu. (i think he is adorable… sigh!) — or should I say JYJ’s Junsu…
I bet a lot of people have watched Secret Garden! It was a hit!! And I have to say it was a very unique story… and so maybe that’s why it’s a hit. Who would ever forget Hyun Bin‘s purple track suit!!! And who doesn’t love Gil Ra Im!!!
Also another popular thing we would not forget about Secret Gardens’ soundtrack! Especially the song That Man (Geu Namja). Even Hyun Bin has his own version of the song (the original one was sung by Baek Jiyoung).
Recently, JYJ’s Junsu did a cover of the That Man. And my god do I miss him singin ballads.
As always, his voice is really beautiful. I could not truly explain it! Hyun Bin’s version was also beautiful, but both their voices are very different so I can’t say which I like best. But one thing I do know is that I miss Junsu’s ballad songs! I wish he would sing more ballads especially OSTs I’m pretty sure it would really really sound awesome!
2NE1 has been teasing us with the bits of their their new song last week… and early today, they have released their new track Lonely.
Aww.. too bad they won’t be promoting this track! I so love it!
I know I know I’m a little partial toward the girls because I like their songs (well most of them though… I’m too much of a fan with Clap your hands). But I am not kidding and their is no bias involved when I say that this is a good track, because it shows that the girls can make beautiful music even if it’s not of the dance genre. I’m not sure if acoustic music is the recent trend in Korea but it seems the girls have ventured toward those shores.
This track let’s us hear that their voices aren’t just meant for fast hip hop beats but as well as belting some tunes. No wonder Will.i.am that this track would be a hit.. sigh, they should really promote this, but i guess that won’t happen… but please YG entertainment… will it be possible to do it even just one time?? pretty please with sugar and cherry on top? nah.. who am I kidding they’ve already made the announcement.
The only thing that I don’t like about the song is the last note… the one where someone shouted.. “eh-eh..” I’m not really sure who did that, I’m guessing CL.. I’m not sure if that’s a trademark of 2NE1 songs or something, but I guess it doesn’t really sound right for me. Maybe they could have ended it in a better way.
The video is yet again a unique one! I think that’s the nice thing about the YG videos.. its something unique and something new and fresh. I love how CL looked in this video! So 1960’s in a modern way! something I haven’t seen in Korean videos!
For the first time in a long time! Now we see girls who are not dancing while singing songs. Instead we see them bringing guitars and playing them!
It’s a new duo and they call themselves Spinel and this is their debut track Chu Chu.
Can you believe these two girls are just middle school students?! OMG! Amazing! They do sound really good. I first saw them perform on one of the music programs and they sound really nice. Their song sounds really bubbly and its good to know that Korean music is branching out to the acoustic genre. I hope there would be more of this kind of sound and more of the girl’s music. They’re starting a trend!
Will be watching out for them!
And I want one of those guitars! kk mine doesn’t look like that! kk
