The first Korean song I really like was Sarangingayo (사랑인가요) or Perhaps Love from the OST of the Kdrama Goong (Princess Hours). I saw the drama on TV in 2006/2007 and I loved this song ever since. I even loved this song way before I got into my Kpop phase.
This was the first Korean song I learned to sing, and the first one I memorize. Every time my friends and I went to a noraebang, the one with Korean and Japanese songs, I would always sing it! I still love to sing this song until now and it still brings back that giddy feeling I had while watching Goong! (heck, there are times I still watch Goong!)
Though there have been a lot of covers done for this song, nothing beats the original singers singing it! kk And I found a clip where they performed it together on another Korean cable TV show! I loved it so much that I want to share it!
I so love this song! It makes me want to sing along! kk

I’ll Protect You – JYJ Jaejoong (OST Protect the Boss)

I’ve been busy ever since I moved to another country. I’m kind of adjusting until now, but I guess I will be fine.. and I have my kdramas to accompany me.
A friend of mine has been bugging me to watch the drama Protect the Boss 보스를 지켜라. I have not really watched it because I was stuck on watching You’ve Fallen for Me and then Can’t Lose. I have to admit I wasn’t keen in watching Can’t Lose but I had to make an exception because of Choi Ji Woo. I know she’s not getting any younger, but to me she is one of the best Korean actresses. I loved her since I saw Honesty.
So while I’m here, and since I have some time to spare.. and because my curiosity got me, I decided to download Protect the Boss. I don’t really download dramas as I prefer watching them online. But I gave an exception to this one after seeing the firt episode. Yup that’s right, after I saw it I was hooked! But before I do talk non stop about it, here is a song from the OST I’d like to share. It’s called I’ll Protect You by JYJ Jaejoong.
Ok I have to admit, I am not much of a fan for Jaejoong’s voice, but I absolutely love this song. And every time I hear it being played on the drama, I love it! This is maybe just like Jaejoong singing Insa (from A Millionaire’s First Love). This is just the right OST for the drama.
Like I said, I am really hooked!! I love every minute of Protect the Boss, though I’ve only seen about 6 episodes from the time of writing this. Sometimes I wish I can just stay home and do nothing but watch it until I reach the recent episodes, but I can’t do that.. sigh. Anyway.. why do I like this drama, it’s very light hearted and so far it’s fast paced! kk
I like the way Ji Sung acts as the immature boss who hides the fact that he has panic disorder.. Look at this!! And I think the elevator scenes where his dad beats him up are so hilarious!!
Jaejoong also looks good here, though well maybe he’s just not my type, but the Cassies who like him would fall for him and his character. I love how they fashioned him as the mysterious cousin who gets into childish fights with the immature boss.
And of course, what’s not to love about No Eun Seol (Choi Kang Hee). I love love her character!!! I love that they made her a punk! kk A very beautiful punk! kk Actually I liked her in My Love (movie), she had such a bubbly character there. I think she is a very versatile actress…
I can’t really tell if this is a must see drama or not. I haven’t watched half of the released episodes yet. But I do say that I am enjoying every minute of it! To my friend its as the same level as Coffee Prince. And believe me, that friend likes that drama.. so I guess it’s worth seeing.
So I guess I’d better end here and continue watching the drama!

Ok so I know it’s too late for me to post this song.. Actually I think I;m lagging way behind my watching dramas. And I just finished watching Shining Inheritance – 2 months after it stopped airing! And the last drama I watched before that was Kkotboda Namja.. grrr.. I’m way to busy these days.
I’m a little tired to put in details the story of the drama so click this site to know about it…
So anyway I like the drama and I really recommend that you watch it. Though the story is just a typical one – but I think it was worth watching because of the antagonist and because I could not resist Lee Seung Gi’s smile! oh the dimples! (I likes his songs before but I wasn’t really a fan.. but I liked him in this drama so I had to finish the drama!).
If you’ve read my blog you would know that I am a sucker for OST’s and this dramas OST got me again! kikiki ^^. The song sung by Ji Sun (Loveholic) for this drama is my favorite. Though I heard it played over and over again I am not bored of it. And because I like it I’m sharing it!

Today, I was sitting infront of my computer wondering what playlist will I be playing. Recently I became pretty addicted to anything Kpop but today, I wanted something different. So I decided to go Mandopop (Mandarin Pop or Taiwanese pop).
As the songs were playing, I heard one of my favorite songs. A very sad song (well to me its really sad) from the OST of the Taiwanese drama K.O. One (or sometimes called Zhong Ji Yi Ban. This drama starred Jiro Wang, Calvin Chen, Arron Yan and Danson Tang. Wu Chun was also in this drama but he only appeared during the last few episodes. The drama was about 4 friends who had super powers, something like that.. this was not the usual drama you see on TV.
Anyway.. the song that I am posting is a ballad sung by Su Yi Cheng called Bao Hu Se (Protective Color). It’s a song about giving up the one you love. It’s probably one of the saddest songs I’ve heard, and the notes played on the piano make it even sadder. But I love this song.
I couldn’t find any MV of the song so I just added some audio for you to listen to. Oh and read the English translation to understand why this song is really sad.

For sometime now, the songs that I have been posting on my blog are sad ones (heartbreak songs!). I was looking through my files to find for a song to post that’s not a sad one. Then I browsed through the folder of my Jenny Juno OST — and I found the perfect song to post on my blog. It’s a very upbeat one and I remember that the reason for my downloading the OST was because of this song.
For those who are not familiar with Jenny Juno, its a Korean movie about a teenage girl who got pregnant. The story sounds familiar right — even the title. I’m sure you’re thinking about the movie Juno. But long before Juno hit the movie screens and impressed us with the storyline, Korea had their own version of a teenage pregnancy movie. The song I am posting, I’m Going to Love (Saranghalgeoya) is the OST of the movie. It was sung by Park Hye Kyung (the artist who made the Korean version of Lemon Tree). This is an upbeat song — very fresh and makes you want to fall in love, and that’s exactly why i like it. I even used this song as a background on one of my moviemaker presentations

Daniel Henney is one of the Korean actors I completely adore. The first time I saw him was when I watched the drama My Name is Kim Sam Soon (though sometimes this drama is called My Lovely Sam Soon). Though Hyun Bin (another actor I adore ehehehe) played the main character, I can’t help but be in love with Daniel Henney. And thanks to google it was easy to find information about him. And thanks to youtube, there are videos available that could feed me with Daniel Henney addiction..
I started to search for some videos and movies which he starred and I came across the movie Seducing Mr. Perfect (in some versions it Seducing Mr. Robin). I remember watching this movie on crunchyroll.. that’s about 2 or 3 years ago (did you see his abs! ahahaha). Everytime I watch a movie I usually look for the OST. And I was really excited when I found out that Daniel Henney sang on the OST! And he even had a duet with my favorite singers!
The song I’m posting is from the OST from that movie. It’s called Kissing Me. I’m having a little problem finding the english translation for this song as well as the hangul version. The post prior to this was about my recommended movie A Millionaire’s First Love. I love the soundtrack of this movie especially the song called Insa (Greeting/Farewell) which was sung by Hero Jaejoong of DBSK. If you watched the movie, the song was played during the time the main characters were enjoying the day together riding the motorcycle. I love the melody and the lyrics of the song. The song’s not that long though.

I love the soundtrack of Boys Before Flowers (Kgotboda Namja)! Yesterday I posted the song Luckily, now I’m posting SS501′s song from the soundtrack. I think this is the ending theme of the drama. The song is called Nae Moriga Nabbaso (My Thoughts Are Bad though in some sites its known as Because I’m Stupid). I like the tone of this song and how SS501 sang this song. I’m not much of a fan of SS501 yet (since I am still on the DBSK fever ), but I think I will be looking for some of their old songs – I love their voices.. and of course because Kim Hyun Joong is a member (ahahaha). The video I am posting is the performance of SS501 on Mnet countdown.

I think I mentioned in a previous post that I was watching Boys Before Flowers (Kgotboda Namja), the Korean version of Hana Yori Dango (Meteor Garden for the Taiwanese version). Though I’m VERY familiar with what the story is about — I’ve read the manga and watched the anime, japanese and taiwanese versions — I am never bored of the story.
Boys Before Flowers is still airing in Korea. I’ve watched until the 8th episode (since that’s what is being posted on mysoju) — but I am addicted! I am also addicted to the the soundtrack of the drama. One of my favorites would be the song Lucky by Ashily. The singers voice sounds very innocent, and I think that’s why I liked it. I think this is Geum Jan Di’s theme if I may say, since so far this is played when Jan Di is thinking of the times she spends with Jun Pyo. Since I finally figured out how to embed mp3s on my blog (finally!!), i did not upload any video for this song!
