I haven’t been posting any Get To Know Them stuff for almost a year now. And since most often than not, people are directed to this blog because of the pictures, so I am trying my best to post as much Get To Know Them as I can this vacation!
I have to continue with Super Junior and the next on my list is Lee Donghae. ~~ I know a lot of people who would go gaga over him!

A-Cha – Super Junior MV

They have been performing in several music shows but the music video just came out I think 2 days ago. It’s Super Junior‘s follow up track to Mr. Simple. The track is called A-cha.
Honestly, I was not really blown out by the new song. It sounded like Super Junior M’s Perfection. But the good thing is it has a different sound from the SJ Funky beat. I do like the way they focused on the voices of Super Junior. I mean I have to admit not all of them have stellar voices as individuals, but as a group it works out. I do love the fact that they gave more powerful notes for Sungmin to sing. Though his voice is not the same as KRY, but he has the fourth best voice among them and its but fitting to give some recognition.
Because I saw and heard the live performance first before the video was released, I didn’t know that Heechul was still part of it. I have to admit its nice to see that even before he enlisted he still made a video. And Siwon is rapping??? kk 
Anyway, I am not too impressed by the video. It’s still simple. So is th choreography. I really want to see them dance like they did during Sorry Sorry and Bonamana. I guess the boys are sticking to the simplicity concept this time. But they are a dance group — I would love to see them dance more! With better choreography!!!

Oh and did you hear about Hangeng’s (Hankyung) retraction of the his complaint against SMent?? Omo!! I can’t wait.. I hope he gets back with SJ!!!

I Can’t Wait for Skip Beat!!!

Ok so I know some of you may have seen the trailer already as it has been uploaded on youtube for sometime now. But I really really can’t wait for it.
Skip Beat is actually one of my favorite anime and manga. It’s one that I have watched for a long time, though unfortunately I haven’t been paying close attention to it now. I like it because Ren Tsuruga is to me the ideal man! (though this kind of men you only meet in mangas, i’m not sure if they really exist!! kk). Also, the story of this anime/manga is quite interesting to me.
I was really happy when it was picked up for a live action adaption which was then supposed to be starred by Ariel Lin and Jerry Yan. I’m not much of a Jerry Yan fan (though I have to admit he is getting more handsome the older he gets), but I like Ariel Lin. She is by far a very talented Taiwanese actress, at least in my opinion (i love how she can change characters but I love her the most in ISWAK).
When news of the change in the actors came, I was a bit disappointed that Ariel Lin was not going to be part of the project. But the disappointment was replaced by happiness when I learned Siwon was going to play Ren Tsuruga!! Wee… Just perfect!
So I can’t wait for this to be shown!!

Its Been Awhile…

It’s been awhile since I neglected this blog. I have been busy because I uprooted by comfortable life in the Philippines to transfer to a new home in Thailand.
You see I was born to a Filipino mother and a Thai father. But basically I grew up in the Philippines — learned the language and the custom of the Philippines. But now I have decided to live in Thailand to know the culture, the language and to be with my dad’s family. I am a bit nervous but I think it will be exciting.
I don’t live in Bangkok but somewhere in the Northeast part of Thailand. It’s a little different from home… the pace is slow… but I think it would be good to relax here. I’ve been here for about a week and a half now. The roads are a little confusing to me but I am excited. But my lack of knowledge in the Thai language is a bit bothersome. Maybe soon I can speak Thai. But I think this city is exciting… I like riding the song taew (it’s like a bus or jeepney, it literally means two rows) and figuring out where it will stop. In time I will figure out where to get to where. I will be ok! Aja Aja Fighting!!!!
Anyway… the advantage of being in Thailand is the popularity of Kpop and everything Korean! Wohoo… Sungkyungkwan Scandal is even on TV. But it’s dubbed in Thai so boo… While roaming around the city, I found some Super Junior ads..
Siwon for Acer… (I saw the same ad but I couldn’t take a pic, but it looks like this)
Donghae for Maxim… I saw the cardboard life size cut out.. but it was on the street so I didn’t take a pic..
Kyuhyun and Donghae for deodorant… I was buying my cellphone sim when I saw a tarp across the street.. this picture I took but it’s not so clear..
There are other Kpop artists here too like CN Blue and 2NE1.
And another is MA-RI-O (as in Mario Maurer)… I wrote it the way my cousin said it… He is very very very popular here.. I will be watching out for that.. Oh if only I knew how to speak and read and understand Thai. Can someone teach me a few words??
I am starting to love the Thai entertainment industry. It’s funny that it’s so underrated. Bu t listening to the songs on the radio while my Aah (aunt) is driving, I’m starting to like it. So maybe soon I will be developing a love for this kind of music.
So that’s the end of this post and I will be posting as much as I can, this time from Thailand!!!

Mr. Simple – Super Junior

Ok so I have been fan girling for about a week now… unfortunately, I had no time to post my fan girl moment because I was too busy processing some papers.. sigh, I hate red tape!
Anyway, I cannot not have this video on my site. KK As a Super Junior fan, it needs to be on my site! It’s their new track, Mr. Simple.
So, this is said to be part of their SJ Funky sound, and it’s supposed to be the last among the three. SJ Funky is the same beat like that of Sorry Sorry and Bonamana. But among the three, if you ask me, I still like Sorry Sorry. Now when I first heart this song, it’s like… uhmm there’s too many things going on. But the more I listen to it, it gets to me, and I am suddenly singing along. What I like about it though was the lyrics. Unlike the other previous Suju songs which have been promoted, it’s talking about not worrying about what others think about you and just to be yourself. I like those kind of songs, and it’s certainly refreshing.
When I saw the video, it’s very simple, the dance is very simple. Even the part where Eunhyuk does his usual dance, just the break dancing shattering the glass was different (But yay for having Donghae, Sungmin and Kyuhyun for the back up!). I am not sure but I think I was expecting a more complicated dance routine like they did with Sorry Sorry and Bonamana. It’s you had a more complicated choreography. Some of my friends think that it’s been done haphazardly maybe because due to the busy schedules and activities of the boys. I think they work too hard and sometimes they deserve a break.
But anyway, I am a fan, so it doesn’t stop me from liking the song. They have started promoting already and I can’t help but fan girl when they perform (especially Siwon’s costume during their comeback on Music Bank, reminds me of his character in Athena — I can’t wait for Poseidon!). So now I have a reason to stream the music shows again! kk

I’ve been lagging posting this… because I have to make a report.. make that 2 reports… but I finally found the time! kk
It’s the MV of Super Junior M‘s new song Too Perfect / Perfection (太完美).
I think I need to get used to having Sungmin and Eunhyuk in this subgroup. It’s kind of different now Hangeng (Hankyung) is not there. But I think both of them could fill the gap. I’m pretty sure both of them could do that. The song sounds a little different. I have to admit this is not the kind of song I am into, though I dig the rap part of Eunhyuk and Henry. But I know some of you will like.. just that it’s not for me. I like Super Girl better . But I still like Suju! kk
And this is a bonus clip! I adore Henry! so I kinda like it every time he flaunts his piano and violin skills.. and this time we see it on Kang Shimjang (Strong Heart).
I think he is appearing more on Korean TV now… and that’s good!

Super Junior M comeback!

Super Junior M (the SUJU subgroup for the Mandarin speaking market) will be making a comeback! Yay!
They are coming back with a new video called Too Perfect (太完美). Here is the teaser…
And when I saw their video, I thought I was seeing things when I counted 8 guys. Unfortunately, I haven’t been stalking them like I used to in the past (LOL), so I am not up to date with their activities. So when I did a little digging up I realized I was not seeing things, as there are 8 of them… its the original Super Junior M, minus Hangeng (Hankyung), but plus Sungmin and Eunhyuk. This is going to be a treat!! And behold their concept photo…
Kind of like a Siberian prince concept… but they look great.. oh I can’t wait for Feb 25!!

Going back in time for a Kpop song. And if you are a Super Junior fan, I bet you’ve seen them sing this song. That is actually how I got to know this song.
It’s from a group called 5tion (pronounced Oh-tion) and it’s More Than Words (not to be confused with the song sung by Extreme).

They were a popular boy group way back 2001 when long haired guys and baggy jeans were the trend. They had a few songs, but I think this was the most famous among them, famous that some idol groups has rendered their own version in different programs. And one of those group is Super Junior, particulary Leeteuk, Sungmin and Donghae.. Check out this video (before it gets removed)…
I like the beat of the song, truly a song the early 2000s. It sounds like a song the boybands from the 90s would sing. And because I love the songs of the 90s, I had a natural reaction to the song~~ I liked it!

And if you’re curious what happened to the group, they have disbanded in 2006/2007. But just last year, 3 of the members got back together, still using the name 5tion. They came back as ballad singers, minus the rap. They still sound good though. Hope they make it big again!

The boys (Super Junior) may not have won the highest award in the Korea’s Golden Disk Award (imagine the Korean Grammy Awards), but they gave a wonderful performance! (the highest award went to SNSD)
